Talk on ABC and ABM at KPCL

I was invited by Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), Government of Karnataka, to give  a talk on  Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Activity Based Management (ABM) - Case Law Analysis with reference to Power Sector on 24th September 2013 (Tuesday) at HRD Training Center of KPCL. The program was meant for Technical people of KPCL (Executive Engineers, Operational Executives and Junior and Assistant Engineers) and to make them understand the Cost Management techniques in Power Sector. Through out the session which lasted for 3 hours, I focused on Cost System, Cost Control and Cost Reduction, Overview of MISSION  2012 by power ministry and the importance of Costing in the Mission objectives and a case on ABC and ABM. It was an interactive session and lot of ideas where exchanged among the participants.
