Training for Government Officers

Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Bengaluru Chapter organized a one day orientation program on the topic “Financial Management for Non Financial Officers of Government and PSU sector” as per request of Department of Public Enterprises, Government of Karnataka on 26^th August 2013 (Monday) at Hotel Mayura (KSTDC), Srirangapattana.

I was invited to act as faculty to train in areas of Financial Management, Financial Statement Analysis, and Financial Ratios for Performance Evaluation and Cost And Cost Reduction Techniques. Over all there were 34 officers from different government organisations like KPTCL, KPCL, KSRTC, KSFC, KSTDC, KSADC, BMTC, LIDKAR etc who participated in the training program. The mode of training was more of practical exposure in the areas of Finance as most of them were technical background. Real time examples were given to make them understand the subject.
